Ate first sugar snap peas from peas I planted on the south side of the house.
Lots of other peas blooming. The "bush" style ones are pretty big and should probably be climbing something. There are some pods on those as well. Their blooms are purple.
Valentine radish are needing to be thinned so they can actually make some fruit.
The wild daisies that I dug up from up the street are blooming in my back yard.
Clematis is blooming too - all three of them.
Lots of dianthus are blooming too!

Garden Update
What's blooming?
Columbine in two different pink colors
Iris - even along the back fence
Peony is just about ready
Phlox is just about finished
Two hanging baskets of annuals were purchased this weekend
Chives
Thyme
Some of the peas should be blooming soon.
We planted a lot of plants this weekend
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Zucchini
Peppers
Rosemary
basil
Planted some beets as well.
Want to get pumpkins started.
Need to plant black beans
Green beans that my mom planted are coming up
They were planted in a lot of mulch and I've had to push a lot of the seeds down.
We dug up a lot of sunflowers and black eyed susans that we gave away yesterday so there is more room in the garden.
I bought 7 bags of top soil and 7 bags of manure and two bags of potting soil. All but one bag of potting soil has been distributed through the yard. I think the last bag will go next to the rain barrel in the front of the house.
I planted impatients along the front of the porch where we used to have bushes. I need to get a few more of those.
Besides pumpkin and I would like to get some Brussels Sprouts and I think I will have a pretty full garden.
There are lots of volunteer tomato plants that I don't know if I'm going to do anything about those.
I have potatoes coming up.
Planted one yellow tomato. Six Roma, two celebrity and a grape and sweet 100 tomato so I hope we get lots of tomatoes.
Planted like 8 pepper plants and one jalepeno. Four broccoli plants and four or six cucumber plants.
The two back box gardens will still have room for summer crops.

Garden Update 6-April-15
Cleared away leaves from the area where asparagus was planted. One little spear about 2 inches out of the ground!
Peas are up in lots of places - should probably attempt to plant a few more.
Some things are growing in the greenhouse, but just a few radish and maybe some other things. I sprinkled beet and spinach seeds in there on Friday but didn't even cover them with soil. Today I watered and tried to push them in a little.
I torn down the compost pile and rebuilt it today. I love to see how much decomposes. I could identify mango seeds, avocado peels and seeds, peach pits, corn cobs and egg shells in the bottom food and a half or so...above that there was a lot more that was recognizable, but it's decomposing.
I rebuilt is hopefully with some better layers and I put four buckets of water on it. Mom was telling me how much water it needs, though the middle of my pile was pretty wet but the outside was very dry.
Daffodils and wood hyacinth look lovely next to the drive way.

Grape Hyacinth color today!
Glimpsed the first color from the grape hyacinth today under the oak tree!

Columbine is up
The columbine is up in front of the house - just a little bit but noticeable.
A hyacinth is up in the driveway bed, but the grape hyacinth aren't doing much yet.
Crocus under the oak tree are done. No crocus in the bird bath.
Dianthus is coming back in driveway bed and in bird bath area! I think I want to get more of this, I really like them.
Peas are about an inch high on the south side of the house, not much showing for peas in the garden yet.

spring is happening
I can really see the Valentine's Day radishes coming up well.
Under the green house, I drowned some of the little starts. Today I took the cover off for the rain to get in!
Under the living room window some of the peas that I planted are coming up!
Some of the lilies are coming up on the south side of the house, but not yet next to the driveway.
The daffodils are are looking great :)
Forsythia is looking great.
Many (like 6 or 7) purple crocus are blooming under the oak tree. None in the garden with the bird bath yet.

Valentine's Radishes
Valentine's Day, Feb 14, 2015
I planted a 1ft x 1ft square of radishes today. The ground was pretty easy to work this morning though it's supposed to get yucky.
I probably need to water the greenhouse but I'll wait until our next Arctic blast.
Seeing more and more daffodil tips coming up.
Radish planting (not much to see)

Seeing some leaves peeking out
Last week I saw some hyacinths peeking up and one little daffodil leaf breaking through!
I did not dig up any of my gladiolus bulbs this year just because I was lazy. We will see if they come back. One of the reasons that I didn't dig them up was that last year we had a really really cold winter and some of the bulbs that I missed still came up and bloomed!
I'm thinking that I will plant some spinach and put the shower door over the box garden this week!
